“Kate is awesome! Our home, with two untrained daschunds, was chaotic! Kate came in and within the first day, the dogs had learned a few basic commands and potty training was finally making headway. Kate had to train me and my dogs to make this happen, and she did it with patience and compassion. Thank you, Kate, for bringing organization and peace back into our home. Stanley and Spot will forever benefit from your knowledge and training.” - P. Vincent

“Kate’s expertise, professionalism and training style was just what I needed with my new one year old beagle dachshund rescue, Henry. I was looking for 1:1 training on leash walking and manners so we could take a little vacation together. Her pawsitive training style and customized program helped me and my pup Henry immensely. At first he wouldn't even put a harness on or tolerate a leash and is now loose leash walking and obeys basic commands. It was just what we needed to get us through until our group classes start. I would highly recommend Kate.” - P. Adler

“I adopted a 3 year old, 85 pound English bulldog and let me tell you, he is a doofus. He had never been taught basically anything, and couldn’t even make eye contact with me for more than .2 seconds. After Kate’s 6 week class, not only is he receptive to commands, but he learned tricks, and his relationship and connection with me is a night and day difference. It was such a fun, stress free environment for both me and my dog, and Kate managed to help him make such a big turn around while also being very mindful of his physical limitations. I would recommend her to anyone that is looking for an affordable way to change your dynamic with your fur baby.” - S. Burns

“Rosie and I had a fantastic experience with the Sit and Play class. I now have the confidence and skills to continue to train my very special rescue puppy! Thanks for everything. Rosie sends a high five and wave!!!!!” - M. Young

“I am so happy I found Comprehensive Canine Training and Kate. Kate was incredible with my dynamic duo, Oscar and Olivia. They can be a handful, but Kate was so patient and tailored our training to what works best for our family and focused on the goals we wanted to achieve. It was exciting to see their progress and growth using force-free training techniques. Thank you again Kate!” - J. Irwin

“We can't say enough great things about Kate and Comprehensive Canine Training. We brought a 10-month old mini poodle home from the shelter who didn't know any basic commands and wasn't socialized. She was timid and a little scared of the clicker during the consultation. Fast forward to five sessions with CCT and Roz knows a ton of behaviors like sit, stay, wait, roll over, drop it, loose leash walking, etc and some really fun tricks like waving, high-fiving and jumping through a hula hoop! Roz really likes training and has excelled in so many ways with the help of CCT. The force-free, science-based methods of CCT have also helped us create a really strong bond with Roz. Highly recommend for dogs of any stages!” - J. Stafford

“Kate was such a good trainer for both me and Harley! She is so good with dogs and teaching us humans what to do to with our dog children! Harley learned so much and enjoyed doing anything for Kate! CCT and Kate are the best if you need help or your dog! Thank you Kate!!!” - Julie H.

“I really am so grateful that I found Kate to help out my puppy troubles. This is my first dog and my first training experience, I didn't really know what to expect. What I did know, was my puppy was driving me absolutely up a wall with how our walks with the leash were going! Kate was so nice to work with and took the time to understand our needs, my pup's allergies, where we wanted to go with training and where we were at. Kate was able to see what we were doing correctly and how we could improve other things so that it made sense to our dog what we wanted from him. I was able to check in with Kate when she wasn't there to make sure we were doing things correctly, and she is very willing to help when you are willing to put in the work. Dog training is not a magic spell that will transform your dog into the perfect robot, but it will help over time to create a great bond with your dog to understand what you want from him/her. I hope anyone that is on the fence of getting a dog trainer takes that leap and let’s Kate save your sanity.” - Malika H.

“Thank you for our training for Dexter! I highly recommend CCT. We just finished a 6 part series for our labradoodle puppy. The training was effective and easy to understand. Kate made it fun and interesting each week! Great experience.” - Lisa S.

“Absolutely recommend CCT! Kate really takes the time to nail down your goals, gives great demos, step by step instructions, homework AND YOU GET RESULTS. Hands down the best choice for us and our pup!!” - Sarah W.

“Kate with Comprehensive Canine Training is amazing. My dog had terrible leash anxiety and aggression and I am now able to take my dog on very long walks without incident. Kate provided me with the tools and knowledge to understand my dogs "body language". We even learned a lot of tricks along the way :).” - Liz F.

“We retained Kate to train our 4 month old puppy. Six months and ten sessions later she is transformed! Kate is extremely organized and punctual for the training sessions. She has a special way with dogs and she taught both our puppy and us skills that we will use for many years to come. Thanks Kate. So glad we found you!’ - Barbara H.

“Kate has been awesome with teaching us how to train our puppy Goldendoodle. She made it super fun and gave excellent tips on helping us to raise a sweet and obedient puppy. I would recommend her without reservation!!!!” - Sherri K.

“I highly recommend Kate! She is organized, motivated, and highly patient with both owners and their pups. After her program, our abused rescue had a 180 change. When starting the program, he never wagged his tail and it was a struggle just to put a collar or leash on him. Now Campbell is highly motivated and has turned into a social and well behaved dog! I work for a vet clinic and see many different trainers. If you’re looking for a good deal and live in the beaches area I recommend Comprehensive Canine Training.” - Olivia D.

“I highly recommended Comprehensive Canine. I researched trainers online when I got my cock-a-poo puppy and found Kate of Comprehensive Canine on the Pet Professional Guild's website. Her website was easy to read and did not force me to go a social media site to learn more. From reading her site, I learned she was a force free trainer. My puppy is timid, and I did not want to scare her or harm her to train her. Kate was a wealth of information even before our first training session. She emailed me wonderful information on puppy potty training, socializing, and behaviors. When she came to my home for the first visit, she was professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. I knew she was the right choice for me and my puppy. Training sessions were in my home, which I thought the best place for my puppy to learn. I live in a high rise downtown, which is a different environment for having a dog. Sessions were a fun and happy experience for my puppy. She gave us homework and explained everything thoroughly.
Kate was always available for us. When my puppy was 4 months old, she was attacked by a large dog requiring an emergency vet visit on Christmas day. Kate was there for me and helped me and my puppy relearn confidence and trust with other dogs. I can't thank her enough her helping us through that situation. The physical and emotional wounds healed and my puppy, who is now 6 months old is able to socialize with the other dogs (large and small) in my building. Kate taught me the skills to help train my puppy to be a happy and well-behaved dog. The training process is always on going, for a teething puppy especially. Thank you Kate.” - Dana P.

“I called Kate out of desperation with my Yorkie who was having constant accidents. I was at my wits end and Kate was so patient and kind with both me and my little dog, Abby. She helped me identify health issues as well as severe anxiety issues that were contributing to her behavior. What I thought was just naughty behavior was actually fear and anxiety due to some past traumatic events and my getting upset was only making it worse! Kate was always so positive and optimistic that we could change her behavior and she was right! Abby is rarely having accidents now due to training and medication. She also comes when called rather than running to hide and she's much more social overall. I highly recommend Kate and her gentle, positive methods to help with anything your pet needs.” - Amy S.

“We started with a wild puppy that had no training. After our first training session our pup, Frankie, knew basic commands of come, sit, off, and look at me. We finished our fifth session and the improvement in Frankie is outstanding. She now knows and responds to come, sit, wait, stay, off, leave it and more. She walks on a loose leash and immediately stops on command. When she stops, she will either wait, stay, or come - depending on our command. She has also learned to shake (which allowed us to touch and clean her paws), beg, and roll over. She is still a puppy in many ways, but thanks to Kate and her help in identifying Frankie's training needs Frankie is much more well behaved and is a perfect family member. The printed training aids we were provided proved to be invaluable - allowed us to refresh what we had practiced.” - Ron P.

“Comprehensive Canine Training has worked wonders for my dogs. Kate Godfrey is a loving, gentle, no touch trainer. I love the way she rewards the dogs with treats as well as praise. Laila is a newbie to our home and she had some fear issues. With Kate's help she has grown confidence as well as learned her manners. We love you Kate.” - Louie, Laila and Elaine M.

“Kate’s force free approach to training dogs was exactly what my little guy needed. He was rescued when he was abandoned in a back yard. He had severe fear aggression, did not take instruction well, and was very fearful of people. Within one session of learning a few cues Kilo was a different dog. I cannot thank her enough for all she’s done!! “ - Danielle C.

"I would like to give a shout out to Kate, who is helping us train our Blue. She is very professional and thorough, clear in what needs to be done and exceptionally knowledgeable. Blue responded to her methods immediately. We are thoroughly impressed with her compassion and care … more importantly her respect for Blue. She doesn’t use any methods that demean, embarrass, or hurt him. He learned so much in just one session! We highly recommend Kate!" - Amy O. of UnleashJax Magazine

"Kate really changed my dog and I’s life. Before working with Kate, I could barely walk my dog because of her aggressive/REACTIVE behavior on the leash, which is a huge issue when you live in an apartment. After two sessions with Kate she now barely acknowledges people walking by and has a much higher tolerance for when she sees other dogs! Kate was so patient and kind and was great at keeping in contact with me to get updates between sessions. She really encouraged an open line of communication and had great respect for what my dog was comfortable with and how she responded to the training we were doing. She was very mindful of what behavior needed to be worked on and what behavior was just being a dog! Kate is very much an advocate for positive behavior techniques and we were able to reduce my dog’s aggressive behavior without having to use any sort of shock, PRONG, or choke collars and I am forever grateful for that!” – Angela C.

"Kate is absolutely amazing when it comes to dog training! I have seen great results with my 7-month old German Shepherd (Loki) because of Kate's training. I contacted Kate after getting a very good recommendation from my doggy daycare. Kate and I had an extensive phone conversation prior to her first visit at our home so she could really hone in on my needs and expectations for Loki's training. When Kate comes to your home, she instantly becomes your furbaby's friend, and makes not only your dog feel at ease, but also the owners. She even brings yummy, healthy treats for her training sessions...which Loki LOVES. Kate does stress that the training does not end when she leaves for the day, and that is SO true. Although we are not the best at training every day, when we do train, Loki clearly remembers most of his commands that Kate introduced him to...so her services were definitely worth the investment. Also, having Kate come to our home as opposed to taking Loki to an unfamiliar location to train was ideal, as we could use his familiar settings to instill the commands that we wanted him to learn. Kate clearly has a passion for dog training, and it is evident in her training style and technique. I also appreciate that Kate checks in with you throughout your training and offers advice, answers to questions, and anything else that you may not have thought that you needed via phone and/or email. I will definitely continue to use Kate's services as Loki grows and has the capacity to learn new things." - Meaghan S.

“Kate is knowledgeable, personable, and passionate about helping you and your dog. Kate came to us to help us with our foster dog, Warren, with Lab Rescue of Florida. Warren was an 80-pound lab who had puppy energy and no house manners! Kate worked with us to get him ready for his forever home. In just a few short weeks- Warren went from one of the most difficult fosters I’ve had (close to 20 dogs now!) to one of my most beloved foster dogs. That’s how BIG of a difference Kate made for us, him, and his future family! Warren got adopted and Kate continued to work with him and his new forever family. I’m happy to say Warren has transitioned wonderfully and is thriving in his new home. I attest a lot of Warren’s success to Kate’s teaching. Kate also is wonderful with making recommendations that the humans can stick to, which I think is very important. The training is manageable and doesn’t seem like another thing on the to-do list! I’ve referred Kate to some of my friends already and I plan to continue to do so! We can’t thank you enough Kate! Warren definitely keeps a part of you with him, you helped him be the best dog he can be, which is priceless!” – Alexis L.

"Kate worked with us and our very energetic lab. The results have been amazing. In a short session he learned to shake, spin but most importantly he learned "wait" which is incredible considering the amount of energy he has and the excitement he has when he wants to go out or play with his ball. Because of Warren’s energy she introduced the clickER method... We have two boys ages 13 and 10 THAT she worked with on how to train Warren and to keep using the methods that we learned during training, so he stays consistent. She is extremely patient both with children and with pets during her training. In addition, she follows up to see how things are going and provides extensive training sheets for you to reference when she’s gone. We highly recommend Kate and you will see results immediately with your pet." - The Romano Family

"I have had the pleasure of working with Kate over the last year as she has been checking on, exercising, and training my 5-year-old Vizsla Bruce. Kate has been an amazing resource for all things, from my questions about "why is Bruce doing this?" to what kind of harness I should use. Bruce has learned multiple new tricks (guess that old saying was wrong!) and has greatly improved her leash manners while we're out and about. I would highly recommend Kate if you're looking for a hardworking, easy to work with, and knowledgeable trainer who clearly cares about and loves what she does!" - Amanda L.
